Sometimes it really is better together.

Since buying my Rivian, I have been active with Rivian Clubs of America and now serve as a trail and chapter lead for the Sierra Nevada.

A lot of what I like about the club aren’t really the events themselves. It’s the comparing routes on OnX, somebody has a question about my setup, and if someone gets stuck everyone ends up learning from the experts in recovery. Afterward we’re talking about what worked and what we’d change next time. The people I connect with are the ones that make the event great.

People arrive with different levels of experience, and that is what makes the community useful. Newer members bring questions and perspective. Experienced members share what they know. Everyone learns from someone else.

I help plan trips and make it easier for people to participate safely and confidently.

I am most active with the Sierra Nevada chapter, while other chapters around the country are building communities shaped by their own landscapes, members, and local interests.
